Terry Cheyney

Chief Financial Officer

Terry Cheyney is a seasoned finance professional with more than 26 years of finance and accounting experience.

She is the Chief Financial Officer of Tribeca Venture Partners, where she oversees the financial management and operations of the firm, financial reporting, tax and audits for its funds, limited partner reporting, and portfolio company monitoring. Prior to joining the firm, Terry was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Rockland Capital, a $1B private equity fund manager in Houston, Texas.

Terry began her alternative investments career in 2003 with The Carlyle Group, where she oversaw financial management, operations, and investor reporting for 62 global private equity entities, as well as Perseus, L.L.C., a former merchant bank/private equity fund manager with $1.6B of committed capital.

Prior to Carlyle, Terry worked in Corporate Financial Reporting for Salt River Project (“SRP”), the nation’s second-largest public power utility with more than $8.4B in power generation assets. She was also previously a Senior Analyst with Arthur Andersen, LLP.

Terry received a BS from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and an MS in Finance from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California.

Terry serves on the Board of the Private Equity CFO Association and has served as a Governing Director of the Houston Symphony, including serving as its Finance Committee’s Chair-designate, as well as on the Networking Committee of Texas Wall Street Women. In her spare time, Terry enjoys cooking, challenging herself with fitness goals, and playing with her dogs.
